Sand & Sunshine
BEACH AREA 1

Known locally as “The Main End”, this is the most commercial of the beach areas and where the lively hustle and bustle takes place. Here you’ll find attractions, events, a boat launch, shops, and restaurants, all steps away from the beach. Visitor information can be found at Nancy Island Historic Site across the street. While enjoying this beach, be sure to keep a look out for our resident Piping Plovers - they won’t disappoint!

On The Water

Fourteen kilometers of freshwater beach and access to over 20 kilometers of the Nottawasaga River. Canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding are all common ways that people explore the Nottawasaga and the calm bay waters. If you are looking for a bit more speed or to really explore the bay, power boats and jet skis are a popular choice in our area. The bay and the Nottawasaga are also popular fishing locations for local anglers.
